I am a lawyer-linguist – I graduated with a Degree in Polish Law from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the and completed a two-year postgraduate programme in Translation and Interpreting at the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of the University of Warsaw. Still a law student, I enrolled in the Center for American Law and obtained a Certificate in American Law Studies.
I started working as a full-time translator in 2005. Two years later, I passed a state exam, becoming a fully qualified sworn translator (tłumacz przysięgły) of Polish and English. I spent the next two years studying for the British Law Centres’ Diploma in English and European Law, which I obtained (with merit) in 2010.
